Maybe it’s just what’s showing up at my preferred thrift stores, but I’m seeing an uptick in polka dots these days, and I kinda like it! Something I loved about this dress specifically is the variation in dot size and shape. It’s certainly fundamentally polka-dotted, but not so blatantly obvious from afar. Additionally, the shape of this dress is sleek enough to be playful with layering on top!

With lots of long and flowy skirts on Shari’s Pinterest board, I was excited to find this dark aquamarine skirt with intricate embroidery and eyelets on a seemingly raw bottom hem that’s cut out in the shape of the leaves!

Black and white striped tees are one of the easiest things to thrift, but a good quality black and white striped tee is hard to come across. Finding this Banana Republic striped tee felt like a diamond in the rough. It’s thick, the quality is great, and the stripes shift from horizontal to vertical where it counts. Can’t say I’ve seen a striped tee like that before! Pretty awesome.

In Shari’s intake form, she let me know she’s not afraid of color and patterns, so I chose this yellow and white striped Loft Vintage Soft tee because it’s a mix of those two things while remaining neutral enough that it won’t be difficult to style. 

Love the beautiful pattern and colors of this Xhilaration dress! I also love its overall modesty while remaining light and breathable for these scorching Tennessee summers. There’s a safety pin in the neckline of the dress from the previous owner and sometimes I enjoy when those are left behind, seeing how others altered clothing and if it could be something that would benefit me while wearing it too.
