curated secondhand clothing bundle

for lauren

In Lauren’s intake, she shared with me that she’s looking for a wardrobe refresh that’s classic, and simple, and would allow her to feel comfortable while playing with and caring for her toddler. Her inspiration images showed a lot of effortless, flowy materials with simple silhouettes and lots of “layerability” if you will. Here’s a little look at the inspiration images she shared with me.

Laura Gayle Brown Woven Sandals

Perhaps due to the limited time people wear sandals, the quality (especially lately) isn’t great. I was so pleased to find these Laura Gayle brown woven sandals in Lauren’s size because they’re great quality (even in their gently used state) and offer sturdy stability so Lauren won’t have to worry about her shoes slipping off while playing with her little one.

Villager Brown Kitten Heels

To give Lauren one elevated shoe option for an outing or occasion, I chose these rich brown Villager kitten heels to give her just a bit of height, while providing stability with thick crossed straps across the top.

White Sandals

Like the Laura Gayle sandals, I chose these white sandals because they offer stability and comfort with buckle enclosures so she doesn’t have to worry about preventing her feet from slipping out of her shoes while spending time with her kiddo.

Loft Polka Dot Pants

To give Lauren some breezy comfortability this summer, I chose these polka-dot Loft pants. They have a great stretch in the waistband and a non-uniform polka-dot pattern for some visual intrigue.

Davi & Dani Drop Waist Dress

Lauren had a lot of really sweet patterned flowy, tiered dresses on her Pinterest board, so this dress was a no-brainer. I really love the tie details on the sleeves!

Jean Jacket

I noticed quite a few jean jackets on Lauren’s Pinterest board, so I definitely wanted to make sure I included one in her bundle but didn’t want to give her a plain, everyday jean jacket that she could find at any clothing store. This jacket combines the classic jean jacket with a feminine and fitted chore coat, providing a more unique silhouette than the traditional jean jacket.

Universal Thread Button Down Dress

This has to be my favorite item in Lauren’s bundle! The colors, the pattern, the button front, it’s all just so sweet and so perfect for summer.

Chelsea & Violet Button Down

Lauren pinned quite a few solid-colored button-downs to her Pinterest board and this Chelsea & Violet button-down is buttery soft and is such a sweet light lavender color. Of course, the sleeves can be cuffed, but there’s a very subtle bell sleeve feature if worn with the sleeves unrolled!

Croft & Barrow Striped Button Down

In addition to one fitted button-down, I wanted to give Lauren an oversized button-down that she could wear with two central buttons buttoned, or even fully unbuttoned over a tank top.

Ana Plaid Peplum Puff Sleeve Blouse

While most ruffles and feminine elements appear in the dresses and skirts on Lauren’s Pinterest board, I wanted to pull that into the tops in her bundle as well, leading me to this lovely Ana peplum top with gorgeous puff sleeves.

Urban Daizy Tank Top

To ensure Lauren has some special basics and solids in her bundle, I added this Urban Daizy tank that she can wear on its own or under a button down or jacket.

Old Navy Striped Tee

It’s been said before and I hesitated to believe it, but I do now: stripes are to be treated as a solid. They can be mixed and matched and treated as a plain white tee. Everyone needs a striped tee in their wardrobe!

White Loft Blouse

Again, in lieu of the addition of a basic white tee in Lauren’s bundle, I opted for a light, flowy white blouse with some more visual intrigue. Lots of really sweet sleeved blouses in this bundle!

Banana Republic Lace Button-Back Tank Top

I would consider this Banana Republic lace button-back tank top my “wild card” of the bunch. While visually formal on its own, it can so easily be a lovely addition to a fully otherwise casual outfit to prevent a causal outfit from feeling lazy or pajama-esque. I’m all about juxtaposition.

Pink American Eagle Peplum Tank Top

Again, in an effort to not localize all flowy and ruffled elements to dresses and skirts, I chose this beautifully feminine peplum top with a very subtle cowlneck.

Elodie Floral Blouse

Despite most of Lauren’s inspiration items featuring light, dusty, muted colorways, I wanted to add something vibrant to her bundle, so I chose this lovely green Elodie floral button down blouse.

Maurices Eyelet Tank Top

Another sweet, feminine piece perfect for summer! The shoulder ties are my favorite parts of this tank top. They add such a fun and playful touch!

Madewell Button down Polka Dot Blouse

First and foremost, thrifting Madewell is such a win, and this blouse is stunning. There was even a similar red polka dot blouse on Lauren’s Pinterest board, so this was a huge win in my book!

Dazy Light Wash Jeans

Lots and lots of light-wash jeans on Lauren’s Pinterest board, so of course I had to add a pair to her bundle.

Abercrombie & Fitch Ultra High Rise 90's Straight Leg Jeans

Lauren shared with me that the best-fitting jeans in her wardrobe are a curvy fit (mine too!) so I was on a mission to find her at least one pair. Quite a challenge, since you never know what you’ll find at a thrift store, but I was so pleased to find these Abercrombie & Fitch Ultra High Rise 90’s Straight Leg Jeans in a curvy fit.

J.Crew Striped Pants

You know that feeling when you have a day at home and you want to be comfortable but also feel more put together than staying in your pajamas all day? These pants are the solution to that. They’re comfortable enough to pass as pajamas, but don’t give that “just rolled out of bed” vibe.

Loft Straight Leg Corduroy Pants

These pants are so modern in shape, durable in texture, and have you seen those zipper pockets?! Amazing.

Teal Aeropostale Joggers

I spotted a few joggers on Lauren’s Pinterest board, so I picked up these teal Aeropostale joggers to add to her bundle. Something I appreciated about these joggers as compared to others, is the structure. Most joggers I come across are made with that sweatshirt material that wears away and gets holes so quickly, but my hope is that these will last Lauren as long as she wishes to keep them in her wardrobe.

White Dialogue Trousers

To round out the pants section of Lauren’s bundle, I wanted to add one “dressy” option in the form of a trouser. She can add a fancier blouse and a pair of heels to dress these pants up, or add a graphic tee shirt and a pair of sneakers to dress them down. They’re so versatile and will be so comfortable to wear this summer.

A New Day Paper Bag Trousers

Say what you will, but A New Day (Target) is my go-to for structured, comfortable paper bag pants, especially if you’re below 5’6″ (otherwise, you’re gonna get a cropped fit whether you want it or not haha). Always a huge win when the original belt is included!

White Stag Linen Blend Cropped Pants

Linen & cotton are heaven-sent materials for hot summers, so these blended canvas-colored cropped pants are going to be great for hot days or even a day spent lounging at home.

Brown Old Navy Pants

These brown Old Navy pants are super soft and light, offering some breathability and lightness in the hot Nashville summers.

Loft Green Shorts

Shopping in-season at a thrift store is often difficult, so I was very pleased to find these pristine and super versatile 6″ Loft shorts!
