curated secondhand clothing bundle
for Jessica
Did you know you could request a specific color palette for a curated bundle? In Jessica’s intake form, she requested cool toned clothing to compliment her dark hair and fair skin, and that kind of guidance is so helpful and honestly fun for me to reference as I shop! She also requested clothing without polyester, which is becoming a popular request in bundles, and for good reason! Here’s what I found for Jessica based on her Pinterest board.
jessica’s mini bundle
French connection coat
Sure, it’s July, but I am a firm believer that shopping out of season is hugely underrated. Jessica’s Pinterest board had some really great coats and jackets with beautiful prints and patterns, so adding this beautiful French Connection coat was a no brainer. The pattern is very unique – almost polka dot, almost plaid, and almost floral. More interesting than the pattern though is the asymmetrical button closure, also called an off-center placket, which is actually a common feature in military-inspired coats and moto jackets. Extra cool on a wool coat!
Old Navy High Rise Boyfriend Pants
Jessica requested no skirts or dresses in her mini bundle, so it was game on to find some versatile pants in a natural fabric. The pants on her Pinterest board looked to have more structure, so I was after some pants with a cotton blend rather than a loose linen, soft silk, or anything of that nature. These awesome Old Navy pants fit the bill, and I love the natural belting in the buttons on the sides of the pants in case she wants to pull the pants in at the waist without the need for a belt.
Hathaway button down
I think this is my favorite piece from Jessica’s mini bundle! The colors of this 100% cotton button down are so beautiful together and are somehow perfectly muted yet vibrant. I think it’ll look so beautiful with her dark hair and fair skin!
Wool L.L. Bean Sweater
If you’ve ever owned anything made by L.L. Bean, you know the quality and reliability is top tier. This sweater is actually still being sold today for $79! A beautiful winter staple.
Gap high-rise wide-leg pants
While these pants are warmer toned, the fit and quality is phenomenal, and the pants can certainly be dyed, if desired. Alternatively, because they’re pants, there’s more forgiveness in color, because it’s not a top or blouse right up next to her face and hair (or at least that’s what was told to me when I was color matched a couple years ago!)
